A vacancy has arisen within our Finance Division for a Management Accountant.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the core functions of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts.
• Calculation of accruals, prepayments and other General Ledger entries in accordance with UK GAAP.
• Interface of data from General Ledger into Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and journals required to enable group consolidation.
• Preparation of internal management reports for Senior Managers and Directors.
• Support of the Financial Reporting team in all Group reporting processes.
• Review and control of Monthly Reconciliations.
• Analysis of Trial Balance, Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet with comparison of monthly results against plan, forecast and prior year results.
• Ad hoc initiatives and assistance to the wider Finance department in year end routine and analysis.

Applicants must be part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), preferably with experience gained in a ‘Head Office’ financial reporting function.  Applicants must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate a high level of accuracy and have the ability to work as part of a team.  A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. 

Hours of work:    8.00am to 6.00pm - Monday to Friday
