With semi-disposable autoclavable pump, water bottle and probes, the HPU-20 can be made ready for use at a moment’s notice, providing fast, effective haemostasis, particularly in emergency situations, in the GI tract.
Haemostasis is achieved by a special heat-generating device built into the tip of the probe, allowing selection from six heat levels to suit the clinical application. Water irrigation from the probe tip, with four levels of adjustment, washes the site to aid accurate positioning, while a special coating on the probe tip prevents it adhering to the mucosa. The two-pedal footswitch provides easy operation of both heating and irrigation functions.
Two probes are available for use with the HPU-20, the Olympus CD-110U and CD-120U, compatible with GI scopes having 3.7mm and 2.8mm instrument channels respectively. |
