The IBV Valve is designed to provide clinically meaningful improvements in patient health status by:
- Limiting airflow to the portions of the lungs distal to the valve
- Preserving the natural clearance mechanisms of the airway
- Ease-of-use and reliable performance
- Permanent or temporary valve placement depending on the clinical indication
Umbrella shaped valve:
Limits airflow to the portions of the lungs distal to the valve and allows mucous and air movement in the proximal direction by uniquely venting around the outer diameter of the valve. |

Membrane and elastic struts:
The membrane is held against the airway mucosa by six flexible struts and will expand and contract with airway movement during breathing. The valve is designed to conform to the size and shape of the airways. |
Flexible anchors:
The valve has five anchors that gently secure to the airway wall at a controlled depth.

Precision fit:
The valve is available in 5, 6 and 7mm diameters. Valve design helps prevent migration, expectoration and erosion.
Removal rod:
Valves are designed to be permanent or temporary, based on the clinical indication. The removal rod allows for easy removal with bronchoscopy forceps. |
